The Inn Co. was founded in 2020 by two Detroit natives who had stayed in enough generic hotels to know exactly what was missing: intention. Not a gym on the 4th floor. Not a loyalty points program. Just a place that felt like someone actually thought about it.
We took a 1920s building in Midtown, gutted it carefully, and built four rooms that reflect the city around them — honest materials, local craft, nothing superfluous. We partnered with local roasters, soap makers, and artists so that every detail you touch tells you something true about where you are.
The dining room came next, because eating well is part of sleeping well. The bar came after that, for obvious reasons.

How We Run This Place
Intentionality
Every detail was decided on purpose. Thread count. Lighting temperature. Soap scent. If it's in a room, someone thought about whether it should be.
Community
Detroit is our home. We source from local makers, hire locally, and keep money in the neighborhood. We host community events because the city is part of the stay.
Transparency
No hidden resort fees. No confusion about what's included. What you see when you book is what you pay. That's it.
Sustainability
Low-waste amenities, locally sourced food, energy-efficient systems. We're not perfect at it, but we're honest about where we are and working toward better.
